Curving wall in early summer garden
The yellow broom flowers in the foreground are beautifully lush.
Next to them are big velvety leaves. Both went in last year, so we will see what grows...
The lawn needs a cut in this photo,... which is what I spent the afternoon on.
I like to get it very short at the beginning of the summer. Why?
Because later in the year, when the thousands of tadpoles in the pond become tiny frogs, the whole lawn will be full of little frogs and it is impossible to cut.
So, watch out for the short lawn tomorrow and the long lawn later in the year.

A little panaroma view
I came back from London after a few weeks away - Paris, a retreat and a weekend course in London.
Everything is in leaf or bloom. A few delights and a few sad missed moments in the passing of the year.
Some of the tulips have bloomed and passed.
Most of all, I am happy that the Apple tree is in full bloom and leaf.
Last winter a mouse or rabbit or something ate the bark from around its root and I was afraid the apple might not do well this year.
So, a beautiful end of afternoon, walking barefoot around the pond and watching the comings and goings of thousands of tadpoles...
Delights of spring.
